Director Wes Anderson Designed This Bar And It’s As Cool As You’d Think

Wes Anderson walks into a bar… redesigns the space and makes it absolutely awesome.

His creation, Bar Luce opens today, but unfortunately you’ll have to travel to Milan to see it… or maybe you can find a portal to Italy. (Wait, that’s a reference to a Spike Jonze movie. Dammit! I’m still not convinced they aren’t the same person.)

According to Anderson:

“There is no ideal angle for this space. It is for real life, and ought to have numerous good spots for eating, drinking, talking, reading, etc. While I do think it would make a pretty good movie set, I think it would be an even better place to write a movie. I tried to make it a bar I would want to spend my own non-fictional afternoons in.”

The pastel colors, ’50s-style furniture and wall decorations all scream “will someone please make a damn indie film here!”

The Life Aquatic pinball machine will make you never want to leave.
