Speaking from the sidelines of the global climate change summit in Paris, Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated more damning accusations against the Turkish Government following the last weeks downing of a Russian Su-24 jet along the Turkey/Syria border at the hands of the Turkish Air Force.
Immediately after that fateful incident, Putin vowed serious consequences against Turkey and other nations he claimed were acting as terrorism accomplices, now he is serving up what he believes is proof that Turkey intentionally and knowingly took down Russias jet to protect the Islamic States illicit oil trade.
Putin explained that during the course of Russias investigation into what lead to the downing of Russian Su-24 jet, it was revealed that the Turkish Air Force took out the aircraft to secure illegal oil deliveries from Syria to Turkey.
At the moment we have received additional information confirming that that oil from the deposits controlled by Islamic State militants enters Turkish territory on industrial scale, Putin stated adding that we have every reason to believe that the decision to down our plane was guided by a desire to ensure security of this oils delivery routes to ports where they are shipped in tankers.

Terrorists have been abusing the visa-free regime between Russia and Turkey to move freely, the Russian leader said adding that Ankara failed to address the issue after Russia raised it.
We have been asking [Ankara] for a long time to pay attention to the issue that some of the terrorists active in separate regions of Russia, including in northern Caucuses, have been emerging on Turkish territory, Putin said.
Moscow asked Ankara to cease the practice, however, we have traced that they are located on the territory of the Turkish Republic, are living in regions guarded by special security services and police, and they, using the visa-free regime, emerge on our territory and we continue fighting them, he added.
Only time will tell what this revelation means in terms of the already strained relations between Turkey and Russia, however, it is clear this new information is not going to lead to positive results.
UPDATE: Following Putins announcement that he has acquired proof Turkey has been facilitating the Islamic States illicit oil trade, Turkish President Recep Erdogan has stated that if Putin can prove the accusation is truthful, he will resign as from his position.
Russia has received additional intelligence confirming that oil from deposits controlled by Islamic State is moved through Turkey on an industrial scale, said Vladimir Putin. President Recep Erdogan said he will resign if this is confirmed.
Speaking in Paris on Monday, President Recep Erdogan said that he will leave office if there is proof of Turkeys cooperation with IS.
We are not that dishonest as to buy oil from terrorists. If it is proven that we have, in fact, done so, I will leave office. If there is any evidence, let them present it, well consider [it], he said, as quoted by TASS.
Will we continue to update as new details surface.
