No, you’re not dreaming.
So you’ve just returned from a night out on the town. You’ve had a few drinks and the only thing that sounds better than a Cheesy Gordita Crunch is five of ’em. However, you’re too intoxicated to drive or just don’t have the energy. Now what? Even the invisible thought bubble over your head reads, “Why the hell can’t Taco Bell just deliver?????”
Luckily, the fast-food chain’s CEO is reading your mind. The company’s top dog Brian Niccol announced in a conversation with Nation’s Restaurant News that Taco Bell will soon be testing out a delivery service.
According to Niccol, “Even though it’s the No. 1 request from consumers, we have to make sure we can give them an experience that’s consistent with Taco Bell, and that’s what we’re working through.”
Hey, the guy’s at least making an effort and for that alone we should all bow down to him, sultan-style. There’s no word yet on when or where the delivery service will be available, but it is expected to get underway sometime this year.
In the meantime, go ahead and start saving your money for all the Quesalupas and Cap’n Crunch Delights that might be getting driven straight to your front door.
