On a call with Alabama Republicans Thursday, Donald Trump gave further insight to his proposed immigration policy answering questions that arose after releasing his six-page policy in August.
On the call, Trump explained that he is serious about taking action to address the nations illegal immigration crisis and that under the Trump presidency he estimates that all illegals would be deported within the first 18 month in office. Going on further, Trump added that within the period of time he would also ensure that a running wall was built along the U.S.-Mexico border.
The call was one of a series in which candidates such as Jeb Bush, Carly Florina, Ben Carson and Ted Cruz were able to dial in and speak directly to the people. The public asked Trump various questions pertaining to his immigration policy and timeframe, he replied that his 2- year benchmark would be achieved through really good management.
We have to get them out. If we have wonderful cases, they can come back in but they have to come back in legally, Mr. Trump said in an audio clip posted on YouTube Thursday night by a person on the call.
Mr. Trumps plan has been denounced by Democrats and many rival Republicans, who have called it impractical and immoral, among other criticisms.
Mr. Trump said he would remove illegal immigrants from the country so fast that your head will spin, and long before he could embark on his plan to build a wall spanning the 1,900 mile border between the U.S. and Mexico.
Mr. Trump also attacked Mr. Carson, and said the neurosurgeon couldnt achieve the same results on immigration.
It wouldnt work for him because he has absolutely no management capability, Mr. Trump said.
