Get This For Christmas? If So, Obama DEMANDS You Register It… And Its NOT a Gun

One of the most popular gifts this Christmas season is a drone. If you are one of excited recipients of these fun and useful gadgets, well, heres the bad news, and its a doozy.

Barack Obama has just ordered his Federal Aviation Administration to impose a draconian new regulation that makes the fun of receiving a drone for Christmas seem more like a pesky chore.

From Conservative Tribune:

According to a news brief released by the FAA earlier this month, everyone who receives a drone for Christmas this year must first immediately register it with the government before they fly it, regardless of how small and benign the drone may be, or risk facing civil and criminal penalties.

These penalties include a fine of up to $250,000, as well as a potential three-year stint in the big house. Likewise, everyone who received or purchased a drone before Dec. 21 must register it before Feb. 19, 2016, or risk facing the same penalties.

Moreover, the registration process, dubbed by some as a DMV for drones, is reportedly complicated and time-consuming.

How shocking that a federal government process would be anything less than smooth and efficient.

But it gets even worse.

The personal information Obama is requiring you to file under penalty of massive fines or imprisonment will be public.

From Forbes:

The FAA confirmed this afternoon that model aircraft registrants names and home addresses will be public. In an email message, the FAA stated: Until the drone registry system is modified, the FAA will not release names and address. When the drone registry system is modified to permit public searches of registration numbers, names and addresses will be revealed through those searches.

Groups like the Academy of Model Aeronautics are trying to stop the registry entirely, but with so many stores already onboard with the program, and so many drones being purchased in the next week before Christmas, it doesnt seem like they have much chance of stopping this now.

Merry Christmas, drone-owners, from Barack Hussein Obama.
