It’s Official: A Friends Reunion Is Finally Happening

At last, after years of speculation, there is confirmation that a Friends reunion is definitely going to happen.

Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Ross will meet up once again on US network NBC for a two-hour special, scheduled to air on Sunday 21 February.

The programme is a tribute to veteran sitcom director James Burrows and was announced at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena yesterday.

Friends fans have been praying for a reunion for 11 years but cast members have remained vague on whether it will ever happen.

Now, after more than a decade we’re going to see our favorite friends on the screen once more.

However, there is a caveat: although David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow are all expected to appear in the reunion episode, NBC chief Robert Greenblatt admits that there is a chance it won’t be possible to get them all in the same room. “I’m hoping all six will be in the same room at the same time,” he said. “I’m not sure we can logistically pull it off.”
